HÄLLETORP
The Hälletorp Estate is a uniquely preserved farm on the Ranken lake dating back to 1832.
The total privacy and silence you will experience sitting or meditating on your own deck by the lake, amidst carefully preserved heather, ancient mosses, deer and sometimes moose is unique even for Sweden. Hälletorp offers the opportunity to actually own lakeside property and part of a small bay. Modern Swedish law prohibits lakeside owning but since this grounds date back to 1832 Hälletorp makes for an exception.
Nature lovers will have the unique privilege of recognizing dozens of wild plants, discovering birds and rare animals.
A Dutch historical eco landscape architect has designed 12 different areas ( see Appendix). They each make for different ambiance and properties preserving and enhancing the original characteristics of the landscape.
This makes Hälletorp different from other places where monoculture reigns and machine driven forestry leads to extinction of flora and fauna.
Hälletorp is called a paradise by visitors.
A grass roof log cabin is built on the ridge overlooking heather and the lake, right on the edge of your waterfall and brook. Sleeping there you will hear the gurgling of the water right next to the cabin.

Hälletorp provides enough wood to be self sustainable. You will have your own water well.
The entrance passes a pond for skating in winter or having tea in summer.
The orchard provides berries and fruit and nuts.
A smoke house enables you to smoke the fish caught on the lake.
The bay will provide a dock for boating.
